Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal honours Ayush institutions for excellence in public health protection under Kayakalp Ayush Programme

In recognition of exemplary work towards public health protection, the Ayush Polyclinic has been conferred with the First Prize, while the Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Ayush), Government Ayurveda Dispensary, Belargondi, received the Third Prize in the dispensary category. The awards were presented by Chhattisgarh Health Minister Mr. Shyam Bihari Jaiswal.
The ceremony was attended by Secretary, Medical Education and Ayush, Mr. Amit Kataria, and Director, Ayush, Ms. Santan Devi Jangde, along with senior officials of the department.
The awards were given under the Kayakalp Ayush Programme, implemented in Chhattisgarh through the National Ayush Mission. Government Ayush institutions were assessed for the year 2024 on parameters such as cleanliness, infection control, maintenance of buildings and premises, beautification, and quality of healthcare services.
During the felicitation ceremony, District Ayush Officer, Rajnandgaon, Dr. Shilpa Mishra, along with members of the award-winning teams, were honoured.

The Ayush Polyclinic team included Ayurveda Medical Officer Dr. Pragya Saxena, Homeopathy Medical Officer Dr. Harsha Baraiya, Unani Medical Officer Dr. Rubina Ansari, Yoga Physician Dr. Bharti Yadav, Staff Nurse Ms. Hemlata Bada, Pharmacists Ms. Anusuya Sahu and Ms. Kirti V. Hari, Dispensary Attendant Mr. Phulesh Nirmalkar, and staff members Damini, Beena, and Rohan.
The Government Ayurveda Dispensary, Belargondi team comprised Ayurveda Medical Officer Dr. Aniruddh Patel, Ayurveda Pharmacist Mr. Devdas Sahu, and Mr. Shankar Lal Kanwar.
Senior officials present on the occasion included Joint Director Ayush Dr. Sunil Das, Registrar Ayush Chhattisgarh Dr. Sanjay Shukla, Deputy Directors Dr. Kiran Tigga and Dr. Arvind Maravi, Principal of Government Ayurveda College and Hospital Superintendent Dr. P. K. Joshi, Assistant Directors Dr. Sonkar and Dr. Gajendra Baghel, along with other officers and staff members.
Officials stated that such recognition would further strengthen Ayush institutions and encourage continued excellence in delivering quality healthcare services to the public.
