Residents of Motipur Ward No. 03 received a major civic assurance on Friday as Mayor Madhusudan Yadav announced the construction of a new two-storey building for the Netaji Subhash Club. The announcement was made during the birth anniversary समारोह of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose held at Subhash Chowk.
Addressing the gathering, the Mayor said the existing club building has become dilapidated and will be replaced with a modern, multi-purpose structure equipped with all essential amenities. He added that the proposed building will be developed on the lines of a Mangal Bhavan and will be suitable for social, cultural, and community events. The required funds, he assured, will be provided by the state government.

The programme began with floral tributes and garlanding of the life-size statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, followed by worship, flag hoisting, and the national anthem. Club members, local residents, and schoolchildren participated enthusiastically in the celebrations.
Former Subhash Club president and local councillor Sawan Verma, who conducted the proceedings, highlighted the poor condition of the existing building and formally placed the demand for a new structure before the Mayor. Club president Chandan Verma noted that the club has long served as a hub for social, family, and community activities, and said a new building would greatly benefit residents of the surrounding area.

Reflecting on the life and sacrifice of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, he urged citizens to imbibe the spirit of patriotism, discipline, and selfless service exemplified by the freedom fighter.

The children responded in unison with, “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom,” filling the venue with patriotic fervour. The Mayor encouraged them to follow Netaji’s ideals of dedication and national service in their lives.

Several public representatives and citizens were present at the programme, including BJP North Mandal president Sumeet Bhatia, councillors Manohar Yadav, Kamlesh Bandhe, Madan Yadav, Rangulal Verma, Basant Dewangan, Santosh Sahu, Prakash Sahu, Vinod Dewangan, Rupesh Dewangan, Mahesh Sinha, Rohit Verma, Ganesh Dewangan, Rinku Sinha, Lakesh Dewangan, along with a large number of local residents.
