The newly elected BJP-led administration in Dongargarh Municipal Council is making visible progress under the leadership of Chairman Raman Dongre, whose strong will and community-driven approach are bringing about meaningful change in the town.

According to Vivek Monu Bhandari, Dongre is not just operating from behind a desk but is constantly on the ground, interacting with citizens, taking local councillors into confidence, and implementing practical solutions to long-standing urban issues.

One of the primary concerns—water scarcity in several wards—has seen significant improvement. Dongre and his team have actively monitored the problem and introduced corrective measures to enhance water availability, substantially mitigating the crisis in many affected areas.

Another pressing issue, traffic congestion, is being addressed through innovative urban planning. Street vendors, especially vegetable sellers previously occupying congested roadsides in Gol Bazaar and Railway Station Road, have now been systematically relocated to organized market spaces. This move has not only eased traffic flow but also boosted business prospects for vendors and made vegetable shopping more convenient for residents.

In the realm of public amenities, Chairman Dongre has focused on long-term development. The city is now looking forward to the construction of a modern garden, improved sports facilities, and essential urban spaces like a public library and a food court (chowpatty). These initiatives are already underway and reflect Dongre’s vision of turning Dongargarh into a more livable and vibrant town.

Dongre’s leadership style—marked by hands-on involvement, timely execution, and collaborative governance—has sparked optimism among residents. Observers believe that the city is poised to receive long-overdue infrastructure and civic upgrades under his tenure.
