Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan Visits CRC Stall, Reviews Rehabilitation Services in Rajnandgaon

Distributes Assistive Devices to Beneficiaries; Appreciates Inclusive Welfare Initiatives Under Social Welfare Department

Vice President Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan participated in the Lakhpati Didi Sammelan held at the State High School ground in Rajnandgaon on Thursday. The event was also graced by Governor Shri Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, along with several public representatives and senior officials.

During the visit, the Vice President inspected the stalls set up on the Su-Shasan Path, particularly the stall of the CRC Rajnandgaon (Composite Regional Centre) under the Social Welfare Department. He reviewed various rehabilitation services, assistive devices, and ongoing welfare activities aimed at supporting persons with disabilities.

Officials briefed the Vice President on CRC’s service programs, community outreach, and support systems for differently-abled individuals. On this occasion, a beneficiary received an appointment letter, symbolizing opportunities for inclusive employment.

Additionally, four beneficiaries were provided with assistive aids, including:

  • Below-Knee Prosthetic Limb (BK Prosthesis)
  • Motorized Tricycle
  • CP Chair
  • Mobile Phone with accessibility support features

A beneficiary also presented a hand-made artwork to the Vice President as a gesture of gratitude.

The Vice President and other dignitaries appreciated the assistive devices displayed at the stall and commended CRC’s efforts in promoting accessibility, empowerment, and rehabilitation services.

Prominent attendees included Mayor Shri Madhusudan Yadav, District Panchayat President Smt. Kiran Vaishnav, Chairman Chhattisgarh Labour Welfare Board Shri Yogeshdutt Mishra, former MP Shri Pradeep Gandhi, Shri Khubchand Parkh, Shri Sachin Baghel, Dr. Smita Mahobia (Director, CRC), along with administrative officials including Commissioner Shri Satyanarayan Rathore, I.G. Shri Abhishek Shandilya, Collector Shri Jitendra Yadav, Superintendent of Police Smt. Ankita Sharma, and CEO District Panchayat Smt. Suruchi Singh.
