Veteran Rajnandgaon Businessman Gurucharan Singh Chhabra Passes Away

Father of City Congress President Kulbir Singh Chhabra remembered as a devout, lively, and inspiring figure; political, social, and business leaders gather to offer condolences

The city of Rajnandgaon mourns the passing of Shri Gurucharan Singh Chhabra, a respected businessman and the revered father of City District Congress Committee President, Kulbir Singh Chhabra. He passed away after a period of illness, leaving behind a legacy of deep spirituality, unwavering confidence, and a zestful personality.

Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Rupesh Dubey shared that Shri Chhabra was known for his religious devotion and dynamic nature. “His faith and confidence were exemplary. The city has lost a noble soul,” Dubey remarked.

A condolence meeting was held at Lakhouli Muktidham, where tributes were paid by prominent personalities including Mayor Madhusudan Yadav and Shri Kishan Khandelwal.

The gathering saw the presence of several dignitaries and leaders from various sectors such as former MLA Gurumukh Singh Hora, Shahid Bhai, Bhagwat Sahu, Jitendra Mudliyar, Prem Bafna, Padam Kothari, Kamaljeet Pintu, Sudesh Deshmukh, Nikhil Dwivedi, Ruby Garcha, Rajesh Maru, Yogendra Pandey, Deepak Joshi, Paras Verma, Nasir Jindran, Amit Chandravanshi, Hani Grewal, Ashok Fadnavis, Asif Ali, Suryakant Jain, Abhimanyu Mishra, Akash Das, Manoj Chaudhary, Pankaj Khanuja, Manmohan Tiwari, and KK Singh among many others from the religious, social, business, political, and media communities.

Top Congress leaders also extended their condolences including Chhattisgarh PCC President Deepak Baij, former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Leader of Opposition Dr. Charan Das Mahant, Malkit Singh Gendu, Girish Devangan, Sushil Anand Shukla, former MLA Chhanni Sahu, former Mayor Hema Deshmukh, Vibha Sahu, and Maya Sharma.

Office bearers from affiliated Congress bodies such as Mahila Congress, Youth Congress, NSUI, and Seva Dal also offered their heartfelt condolences and prayed for strength for the bereaved family to bear this loss.
