UNICEF District Coordinator Vinod Kumar Tembhukar Honoured with National Youth Excellence Award 2025

Chhattisgarh’s Social Worker Recognised at Jammu University for Outstanding Contributions to Social Development

In a proud moment for Chhattisgarh, UNICEF District Coordinator and noted social worker Vinod Kumar Tembhukar from Rajnandgaon has been conferred with the prestigious National Youth Excellence Award 2025. The award ceremony was held at Jammu University, where achievers from across the country were recognised for their exemplary contributions to social causes and youth leadership.

Representing Chhattisgarh at the national stage, Tembhukar was among the select youth leaders invited from 15 different states. The award was presented by Jammu & Kashmir DGP S. P. Vaid, along with Vivek Parihar, CEO & Director of Live for Other Helpful Foundation, the organising body of the event. Distinguished guests and dignitaries were also present to celebrate the achievements of the awardees.

Vinod Kumar Tembhukar has been actively associated with UNICEF’s district-level initiatives in Rajnandgaon, where he has worked extensively to promote child rights, education, health awareness, and youth empowerment. His recognition with this award underscores his impactful work and the role of young leaders in driving social transformation at the grassroots level.

Speaking on the honour, organisers highlighted that the award aims to encourage young changemakers who are committed to building an inclusive and progressive society. Tembhukar’s dedication towards social service has made him a role model for youth in Chhattisgarh and beyond.
