In an effort to strengthen road safety and ensure strict compliance with traffic rules, the Transport Department carried out a night-time checking अभियान under Road Safety Month. The drive was conducted by the Flying Squad from Durg on National Highway-53.
During the enforcement operation, the transport team inspected goods vehicles illegally parked in no-parking zones along the NH-53 stretch between Anjora and Tumdibod. Officials also counselled vehicle drivers on the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and remaining vigilant about road safety. The department emphasised that illegal roadside parking, especially on highways, poses a serious risk to commuters and increases the chances of accidents.
The Transport Department has appealed to the general public to park vehicles only at designated parking locations and to strictly follow traffic rules, thereby contributing to safer roads for all.
The enforcement drive was carried out in the presence of Transport Inspector Prashant Sharma, Inspector Dageshwar Rajput, Head Constable Govardhan Deshlahre, along with other departmental officers and staff members.
