India’s 17th Vice Presidential election witnessed an impressive 96% turnout of MPs, marking a historic contest between NDA nominee and Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan and INDIA bloc’s candidate, former Supreme Court Judge B. Sudershan Reddy. With voting concluded in Parliament House, counting is underway and results are expected later this evening.

In a bid to cement its presence in the national capital, TDP MPs, led by Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu, have formally requested land on Delhi’s strategic DDU Marg to construct a new party office. The move underscores the party’s ambitions to expand its national footprint and play a more active role in central governance under NDA leadership.
