The state government’s paddy procurement policy is reinforcing farmers’ confidence in public institutions across Rajnandgaon. With assured purchases at Minimum Support Price, time-bound payments, and transparent digital processes, cultivators are benefiting directly, enabling smoother preparation for subsequent crops and strengthening the rural economy.

The Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana is witnessing rapid progress in Rajnandgaon district, with more than 7,800 applications received so far. Backed by subsidies of up to ₹1.08 lakh from the Centre and State governments, the scheme is enabling households to adopt rooftop solar, reduce electricity bills, and move towards energy self-reliance.

Balodabazar–Bhatapara district has emerged as the top performer in Chhattisgarh under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) for 2025–26. Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav has directed officials to ensure hassle-free paddy procurement for farmers, warning of strict action against negligence, irregularities and illegal transportation by middlemen.

Employment and Housing Day was organised on a large scale across all gram panchayats of Rajnandgaon Janpad Panchayat to spread awareness about MGNREGA, PMAY-G and rural livelihood schemes.
