Newly appointed Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav, a 2019-batch IAS officer, formally assumed charge today and outlined his administrative priorities in his first press conference. The Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation has rolled out ward-level pension distribution camps from September 29 to November 14, 2025. The initiative, covering social security pensions for June–August, is aimed at providing convenience to senior citizens and other vulnerable beneficiaries. Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma assured that no pensioner would be left out.

In a high-level review meeting under the 'Su-Shasan Tihar' in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized the importance of on-ground administration, instructing Commissioners and Collectors to ensure regular field visits and timely functioning of revenue courts. Stressing that governance success should reflect in people’s satisfaction, he announced upcoming Tiranga Yatras in every panchayat and lauded ongoing grassroots initiatives.

Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai made an emotional and impactful surprise visit to Sahaspur village during Sushasan Tihar 2025, where he held a spontaneous village chaupal under a banyan tree and offered prayers at the historic Shiva temple, reaffirming his government’s commitment to grassroots governance and public connection.

As part of Su-Shasan Tihar 2025, a public service camp in Rajnandgaon saw immediate registration of laborers and distribution of labor cards, with Collector Dr. Bhure handing over a card to a beneficiary, highlighting the state's commitment to timely and transparent governance.
