Participates in Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Mudpar Village; Inaugurates Development Works Worth ₹4.50 Crore

Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh participated in a public grievance redressal camp organized under SuShasan Tihar 2026 at village Mudpar in Rajnandgaon development block. On the occasion, he inaugurated 115 development works worth ₹4 crore 50 lakh 59 thousand and announced construction of a 2-kilometre road from village Mudpar to the Kharkhara River.
Government Reaching Villages Through SuShasan Tihar
Addressing villagers, Dr. Raman Singh stated that Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has been visiting villages through helicopter tours during SuShasan Tihar from May 1 to May 10, interacting directly with rural residents.

He said the government is reviewing implementation of welfare schemes and ensuring on-the-spot resolution of public grievances. Applications related to various departments are being received at grievance camps and applicants will be informed within one month after disposal of their cases.
Focus on Housing and Welfare Schemes
The Speaker informed that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, approval has been granted for more than 18 lakh new houses across the state, out of which 30,046 houses have already been completed.
In Rajnandgaon district, 10,304 houses have been sanctioned and 6,447 houses have been completed. He added that district-level officers are actively resolving citizens’ problems through grievance camps and urged villagers to submit applications related to their demands and complaints.

He further informed that development works worth over ₹12 crore from the Mandi Board and more than ₹11 crore through the Revenue Department have been approved, and development activities will continue uninterrupted. He reiterated commitment towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat and Viksit Chhattisgarh, stating that sustained efforts will be made to transform the state into a leading one.
Administrative Report Presented
District Collector Jitendra Yadav presented the administrative report, informing that under SuShasan Tihar, grievance redressal camps are being organized across 10 clusters in both urban and rural areas of the district.
A total of 62 camps will be conducted to disseminate information about government schemes and maximize public benefit. So far, 5,000 demand applications and 115 complaint applications have been received.

He also highlighted that 29,000 houses have been constructed under PM Awas Yojana in Rajnandgaon, placing the district among the top performers in the state. Under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, 7,119 LPG connections have been provided, while 42,000 women associated with self-help groups have achieved the status of Lakhpati Didi.
Development Works Inaugurated
Development works worth ₹4 crore 50 lakh 59 thousand were inaugurated during the camp, including projects under Mukhyamantri Samagra Gramin Vikas, MLA Fund, District Mineral Trust, Market Development Works, State Secondary Education Mission, School Jatan Scheme, MP Fund, Chhattisgarh State Rural Development Authority, SCA-LWE, Janpad Panchayat Development Fund, Infrastructure Cess Fund, Public Education Head, Religious Trust, and the 15th Finance Commission.

Welfare Assistance and Community Recognition
During the programme, financial assistance cheques of ₹4 lakh each were distributed to beneficiaries under RBC 6-4 provisions. Students securing first and second positions in Classes 10 and 12 at Government Higher Secondary School Andi were felicitated.
The Women and Child Development Department organized God Bharai and Annaprashan ceremonies, while nutrition kits were distributed to four children under the Potth Laika initiative. Two Anganwadi workers were honoured, tricycles were distributed to differently-abled beneficiaries, and the Dhamansara Village Cleanliness Committee was felicitated.

The programme was attended by public representatives, administrative officials, including Police Superintendent Ankita Sharma, DFO Ayush Jain, District Panchayat CEO Suruchi Singh, Additional Collector C.L. Markandeya, SDM Gautam Patil, Janpad Panchayat CEO Manish Sahu, along with elected representatives and a large number of villagers.
