The State Service Preliminary Examination 2025, conducted by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission, will be held on February 22, 2026, across multiple centres in Rajnandgaon district headquarters. A total of 4,186 candidates are scheduled to appear at 12 designated examination centres.

The examination will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the second shift will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Authorities have clarified that candidates arriving more than 15 minutes after the commencement of the examination will not be permitted to enter the examination hall. All entry gates will be closed 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

As per commission guidelines, candidates and officials are strictly prohibited from carrying mobile phones or any electronic devices inside the examination hall. Candidates must bring their photo admit card along with an original identity proof for verification.

A detailed dress code has also been issued. Candidates will not be allowed to wear shoes with thick soles or high heels; only slippers or sandals with thin soles are permitted. Apart from prescription eyeglasses, no other eyewear such as goggles, smart glasses, or digital glasses will be allowed. Candidates are advised to wear light-colored, half-sleeve clothing. Dark-colored outfits—including black, dark blue, dark green, maroon, purple, or dark brown—are prohibited. Cargo or designer clothing is not permitted, though regular jeans and trousers are allowed.

Female candidates may wear salwar-kurti with a dupatta, provided sleeves are half-length. Saree blouses must also have half sleeves. Jewellery is largely prohibited, except for essential religious symbols. Married women may wear one nose pin and one mangalsutra, subject to thorough security checks. Candidates with medical conditions requiring footwear or assistive devices may be permitted after verification.

Authorities have instructed candidates to reach their respective centres at least two hours before each shift to allow sufficient time for metal detector screening, frisking, identity verification, and facial matching procedures. Candidates are also advised to visit their examination centres one day prior to the exam to avoid last-minute inconvenience.

For assistance, candidates may contact the district nodal officer, Deputy Collector Vishwas Kumar, at the designated helpline number provided by the administration.
