District Treasurer of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Bhavesh Baid, has described the state budget presented under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai by Finance Minister OP Choudhary as a “resolution for prosperity” for Chhattisgarh.
In his reaction issued in Rajnandgaon, Baid said the budget places strong emphasis on youth skill development, self-employment opportunities, and the upgradation of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). He highlighted the provision of ₹750 crore for the industry and trade sector, stating that it would accelerate industrial activity in the state, attract fresh investment, strengthen the business environment, and inject new energy into the economy.
He also praised the government’s focus on infrastructure development under the “Atal Nirman Year,” noting that increased investment in basic infrastructure would generate new employment opportunities and support long-term economic growth.
Referring to social welfare initiatives, Baid welcomed the announcement under the Rani Durgavati Scheme, which proposes financial assistance of ₹1.5 lakh to girls upon attaining the age of 18. According to him, the scheme would significantly strengthen education, skill development, and self-reliance among young women. He further noted that the effective implementation of the Mahtari Vandan Scheme, along with renewed momentum to women’s self-employment programmes and the Lakhpati Didi initiative, demonstrates the government’s commitment to women empowerment.

Among key announcements, Baid highlighted the inclusion of Dongargarh in the tourism corridor as a major achievement for the district. He also mentioned proposed investments in a physiotherapy college, industrial development projects, and road construction, which he said would act as milestones in boosting regional growth and connectivity.
