The 25th Chhattisgarh State Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament 2026-27 began at Digvijay Stadium, Rajnandgaon, with Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao inaugurating the state-level competition. The Under-19 boys’ and girls’ tournament is being held from August 9 to 13, with officials highlighting the development of sports infrastructure and opportunities for young athletes.

The book ‘Antarman Ki Goonj (Inner Resonance)’ was launched at a grand ceremony held at Jain Bageecha in Rajnandgaon in the presence of Param Pujya Shri Mokshaprabha Sagar Ji M.S.A. The book brings together inspiring accounts of the spiritual practice, compassion and spiritual consciousness associated with Jain Sadhvi and Marudhar Jyoti Guruvaraya Shri Manibprabha Shri Ji M.S.A.

Under the “Har Ghar Tiranga, Ghar-Ghar Tiranga” campaign, BJYM honoured the families of martyrs across several mandals of Rajnandgaon district by presenting them with the Tricolour, shawls and coconuts. The programme was conducted under the guidance of BJYM state president Rahul Tikriha and leadership of district president Chintu Sonkar.

Rajnandgaon has received development projects worth ₹43.61 crore, including the construction of the state’s largest 2,000-seater auditorium at a cost of ₹15.92 crore. Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao performed the bhoomi pujan for the projects covering roads, drains, electrification, drinking water infrastructure, crematorium upgrades and community buildings across the city’s 51 wards.
