Rajnandgaon (BTI) – In a vibrant blend of tradition and academic engagement, the Journalism Department of Government Digvijay College, Rajnandgaon, organized a Holi Milan and Parent-Teacher Meet under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Suchitra Gupta. The event was steered by Head of Department Dr. B.N. Jagrit, along with faculty members Mr. Amitesh Sonkar, Ms. Reshmi Sahu, and Ms. Vibha Singh.

The event began on a warm note as Principal Dr. Suchitra Gupta addressed the gathering and extended a heartfelt welcome to the parents. In her address, she emphasized the noble role of journalism in today’s society. “Journalism is a sacred profession, and it serves as a powerful pillar in fostering social awareness and responsibility,” she remarked, inspiring both students and parents alike.

Dr. B.N. Jagrit, the Head of the Journalism Department, presented a detailed departmental report highlighting the department’s achievements, ongoing projects, and future plans. He underscored the department’s commitment to academic excellence, professional training, and the holistic development of journalism students.

The Parent-Teacher Meet witnessed enthusiastic participation from parents, who appreciated the department’s initiatives and shared constructive feedback. Many parents expressed their desire for the introduction of postgraduate programs in journalism at the college, citing the growing demand for advanced studies in the field.
