Extends best wishes to farmers; 3100 INR per quintal support price and Krishak Unnati Yojana bring cheer among cultivators

Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh formally inaugurated the Paddy Procurement Season 2025-26 at the Bhanuprui Paddy Procurement Centre under Rajnandgaon development block by performing traditional rituals and placing the first paddy sack on the electronic weighing machine. Dr. Singh felicitated the farmers with garlands and interacted with them about farming practices, extending his best wishes for smooth paddy sales.
Farmers to Receive INR 3100 per Quintal Support Price
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Raman Singh stated that the state-wide paddy procurement for the Kharif marketing year 2025-26 has commenced from today. Paddy will be procured daily from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Under the government’s support price policy and Krishak Unnati Yojana, farmers will receive INR 3,100 per quintal, and procurement will be done up to 21 quintals per acre.
He added that Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has ensured all necessary arrangements for proper pricing, timely procurement, rapid lifting, and smooth management of all other processes. Dr. Singh further assured farmers that they could contact public representatives and officials for the resolution of any procurement-related issues.
96 Procurement Centers Active; Over 1.28 Lakh Farmers Registered
Collector Jitendra Yadav briefed about district-level arrangements, stating that paddy procurement has begun simultaneously in all 96 procurement centers of Rajnandgaon district.

A total of 1,28,410 farmers have been registered for procurement this year. All centers are adequately stocked with gunny bags, and sufficient manpower and logistics have been deployed for seamless operations.
Token systems are being implemented to regulate daily procurement, allowing farmers to bring their paddy for sale within the stipulated timeframe.

The event was graced by social worker Komal Singh Rajput, Sachin Baghel, Sumit Upadhyay, Bhavesh Baid, Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma, ADM Gautamchand Patil, Food Officer Ravindra Soni, CEO of Central Cooperative Society Mr. Soni, office bearers of cooperative societies, and a large number of farmers.
