A three-day sector-specific training programme for entrepreneurs associated with the handloom sector was successfully conducted at the Lakhole Weaver Centre under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme of the Central Government.

The programme was organised under the entrepreneurship promotion initiatives of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, and the State Government, with guidance from CSIDC Raipur. The training was implemented by Choice Consultancy Services Private Limited. A total of 32 women entrepreneurs participated in the programme.

The primary objective of the training was to promote local resource-based industries, generate self-employment opportunities, and equip participants with practical and technical knowledge essential for sustainable enterprise development.

On the first day, trainers interacted directly with participants to understand their existing activities, working methods, and challenges. This was followed by one-to-one mentoring sessions by the master trainer, focusing on organisational structures, experiential learning, and future growth possibilities.

The second day focused on providing detailed information about various Central Government schemes, subsidy provisions, Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP), skill development initiatives, marketing strategies, and the mandatory requirements for enterprise registration.

On the final day, sessions were dedicated to import-export strategies, inter-departmental coordination, and manufacturing of sarees, suits, kurtas, and other ready-made garments aligned with future market demand. The aim was to create additional employment opportunities for weavers and enhance income generation.

District Industries Centre Manager Mr. Satvinder Singh Bhatia addressed the trainees and shared vital information regarding government schemes, loan systems, subsidies, working capital management, and business presentation skills. Certificates were also distributed to participants of previously conducted EDP Leap batches.

Participants described the programme as highly useful, motivating, and insightful. The training saw active involvement from Master Trainer Ms. Parul Pandey, Divisional Coordinator Mr. Lokesh Sinha, and Mr. Tushar Sahu.

At the valedictory session, Choice Consultancy Services Private Limited expressed gratitude to all participants and stakeholders for their cooperation and support in making the programme a success.
