Dr. Rohit Yadav (IAS), Energy Secretary of Chhattisgarh and Chairman of the State Power Distribution Company, conducted a comprehensive review meeting with field officers of Rajnandgaon, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, and Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki districts during his one-day visit. The meeting, held at the Collectorate conference hall, focused on progress in departmental works, timely execution of electrification projects, and strengthening uninterrupted power supply across the region.
Dr. Yadav emphasized that all officials and employees must actively support the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana by installing rooftop solar plants in their own homes and inspiring citizens to do the same. He said, “It is our responsibility to spread awareness about subsidies, zero electricity bills, and the opportunity for every consumer to become an energy provider. Rooftop solar will help households achieve self-reliance, reduce expenses, and ensure clean, uninterrupted power for all.”

The review also covered critical projects including the RDSS scheme, smart meter installations in government, domestic, and non-domestic sectors, CM Urban Electrification Scheme, CM Power Infrastructure Development Scheme, CM Majra Tola Electrification, LT/HT line expansion, transformer and substation maintenance, accident prevention, distribution losses, and revenue recovery.
Managing Director (Distribution) Bhim Singh Kanwar directed that works under the RDSS scheme, including feeder segregation for agricultural pump connections, must be completed within deadlines. He also pressed for rapid installation of smart meters in all three districts.
