PHE Department Conducts Water Supply and Quality Inspection in Villages

The Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department is actively inspecting rural areas in Rajnandgaon district to ensure the availability and quality of drinking water. The department is repairing defunct hand pumps to restore water supply and conducting water quality checks.

Preparations to Tackle Summer Water Crisis

  • As per the directives of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Public Health Engineering Minister Arun Sao, the PHE department is monitoring the drinking water supply in all villages of the district.
  • To ensure uninterrupted water supply during summer, the department is inspecting water sources and carrying out necessary repairs.
  • Hand pumps that can be repaired are being fixed immediately to restore water supply.

The PHE department inspected the drinking water supply under the Jal Jeevan Mission in the following villages:

  • Ranitari, Singhola, Indawani, Malpuri, Bhothipar Khurd, Khairjhiti
  • Dhudiya, Bhendarwani, Bihawbode, Katalwahi, Ruatla, Jhalakola, Ramtarai

During the inspection, sarpanches, villagers, and public representatives were consulted to discuss measures for maintaining the water supply during summer.
