A newly constructed Anganwadi building in Pangrikhurd village of Chhuriya development block has emerged as a symbol of progress, bringing joy and improved services to children, mothers and women in the area.
Built at a cost of ₹11.20 lakh, the new Anganwadi centre is equipped with essential facilities including clean drinking water, an overhead water tank, toilet amenities, tiled flooring, blackboards, fresh paintwork and vibrant child-centric wall art. The upgraded infrastructure has significantly enhanced the learning and care environment for beneficiaries.

The new building has had a positive impact on health, nutrition and early childhood education in the village. The Anganwadi centre plays a crucial role in combating malnutrition, expanding access to primary healthcare services and delivering pre-school education. With improved facilities now in place, children are receiving better early learning exposure along with structured creative activities.
Officials noted that the new centre provides a safe, clean and well-equipped environment for children, mothers, women and adolescent girls. Adequate space, hygienic classrooms, play materials and improved arrangements for nutritious meals have led to a noticeable increase in children’s regular attendance. The physical and cognitive development of children has shown encouraging progress since the building became operational.

Anganwadi workers are now able to conduct pre-school teaching and creative engagement activities more effectively due to the improved infrastructure. The facility has also strengthened the delivery of health and nutrition services.
Pregnant women and mothers in Pangrikhurd are particularly benefiting from the new building. They now have easier access to health check-ups, immunization services and nutritional counselling at a single, well-maintained location. The clean environment and proper seating arrangements have encouraged more women to visit the centre regularly.
Village Sarpanch Mrs. Anjali Gavade stated that the new Anganwadi building has strengthened the overall health and education standards in the village. She emphasized that the centre is no longer just a childcare facility but has evolved into a hub of awareness and development for the entire community.

“The construction of the new Anganwadi building has brought immense happiness among villagers. It is playing a vital role in the holistic development of children and supporting mothers, laying the foundation for a brighter future for the coming generation,” she said.
The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen grassroots infrastructure in rural areas, ensuring that children and mothers receive improved health, nutrition and educational support in a dignified and enabling environment.
