Over 300 NSS volunteers participate at Urja Park; Digvijay Government College volunteers make a strong impact

Marking the auspicious occasion of National Youth Day, a grand and exemplary district-level one-day Personality Development Camp was organised at Urja Park in Rajnandgaon. The event brought together more than 300 National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers from various schools and colleges across the district, showcasing discipline, enthusiasm and a spirit of service.
The camp was formally inaugurated by Mayor Madhusudan Yadav, who lit a ceremonial lamp before the portrait of Swami Vivekananda. Addressing the gathering, the Mayor urged the youth to imbibe the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and actively contribute towards nation-building through character, service and leadership.

The programme was presided over by Nagesh Yadu, State President of the Chhatra Yuva Manch.
The day-long camp commenced at 8 am with the registration of participants, followed by a series of creative and intellectual activities including project work, interactive discussions, leadership development sessions and a community meal. These activities were designed to promote holistic personality development, leadership skills and a sense of social responsibility among the volunteers.
Volunteers who displayed outstanding participation at national and state-level NSS camps and made significant contributions to social service were honoured with certificates of appreciation by the Mayor. Volunteers from Government Digvijay College stood out with an impressive performance during the event.
The honoured volunteers included Manish Tandekar, Bhagwat Verma, Shivam Yadav, Tikeshwari Devangan, Chhaya Sahu, Rustam Nureti, Dinesh Kumar and Reshma Sahu.

Government Digvijay College registered a strong presence at the camp with participation of more than 150 students. College Principal Dr Suchitra Gupta, along with NSS Programme Officers Prof Sanjay Saptarshi (Unit-1) and Karuna Rawate (Unit-2), expressed happiness over the success of the camp and congratulated the selected volunteers, wishing them a bright future.
The leadership team played a crucial role in the smooth conduct of the programme. Camp Leader Shivam Yadav, Camp Leader (Female) Tikeshwari Devangan, Deputy Camp Leader Mithlesh Sahu and Deputy Camp Leader (Female) Leena Verma were particularly appreciated for their efforts.
Senior volunteers including Rahul Tiwari, Komal Sahu, Veena Sahu, Divya, Pallavi, Payal and Vinita, along with a large number of students, were present during the programme, making the event a memorable and inspiring experience.
