Mayor Visits Moti Talab, Extends Greetings on Chhath Festival

Offered Morning Arghya to the Rising Sun With Family, Prayed for Prosperity and Well-Being of the City

On the concluding day of the Chhath festival, Mayor Madhusudan Yadav reached Moti Talab early this morning and extended warm wishes to the women and men observing the holy Chhath fast. The Mayor, accompanied by his family, offered Arghya to the rising sun and prayed for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Rajnandgaon.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Yadav said that the festival is observed with deep devotion to seek the long life and well-being of children and family members. He prayed that the blessings of Surya Dev bring happiness, good health, and progress to all households. He urged citizens to continue celebrating this festival every year with the same enthusiasm and devotion.

The Mayor further said that on the third day of the festival, a large number of devotees gathered at Moti Talab to offer Arghya to the setting sun, and today, on the fourth day, devotees are concluding their 36-hour nirjala fast by offering Arghya to the rising sun. He expressed happiness at the devotion and discipline shown by the people during the festival.

On this occasion, Municipal Council Chairman Topendra Singh Paras Verma, Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, Former Mayor Ajit Jain, Mayor-in-Council Members Shaiky Bagga & Kewra Rai, Councilor Pramod Jhanjhade, Former Councilor Vijay Rai, and representatives Nadan Sen and Rajesh Yadav were also present and extended greetings to the devotees.
