The Chhattisgarh government’s Chief Minister Special Health Scheme has once again proven to be life-saving for economically disadvantaged patients battling serious illnesses. Pooja Vishwakarma, a resident of Asha Nagar, Rajnandgaon, received ₹18 lakh in financial aid under the scheme, enabling her to undergo a successful liver transplant at a private hospital in Raipur.
Her husband, Anand Vishwakarma, an AC mechanic, shared the emotional journey—from initial treatment in AIIMS Raipur and Delhi to the eventual operation in 2025. With the total cost estimated at ₹26 lakh, the family was on the verge of despair until the state government stepped in. Expressing deep gratitude, Anand said the scheme gave them strength during their darkest hour and saved his wife’s life.
The success story highlights the scheme’s role in offering hope and health security to vulnerable families across the state.
