Receives ₹1.08 lakh subsidy from Centre and State; electricity bill reduced to zero

Under the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, a major step towards energy self-reliance through solar power, Janpad Panchayat Rajnandgaon President Mrs Pratima Chandrakar has installed a 3 kW solar panel system at her residence in Village Parrikala. The initiative is delivering significant financial and environmental benefits, serving as a model for public participation in renewable energy adoption.
Mrs Chandrakar stated that under the scheme, she received a total subsidy of ₹1.08 lakh, including ₹78,000 from the Central Government and ₹30,000 from the State Government, which was credited directly to her bank account without delay. She described the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme as a transformative initiative that not only empowers citizens economically but also promotes clean and sustainable energy.

Following the installation of the solar panel, the electricity bill at her residence has reduced to zero, providing substantial relief from recurring power expenses. Highlighting the broader impact, she said solar energy is environmentally friendly and plays a vital role in reducing dependence on conventional power sources.
Expressing gratitude, Mrs Chandrakar thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, stating that the scheme is a significant step towards both financial relief for households and environmental conservation. She also appealed to citizens to take maximum advantage of the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme and contribute to building an energy-secure and eco-friendly future.
