Veteran actress and BJP MP Hema Malini has strongly criticized sections of the media and social platforms for spreading “inaccurate and insensitive” reports regarding the health of legendary actor Dharmendra. The actress took to social media on Monday, expressing deep displeasure over what she described as “irresponsible journalism” that invades personal boundaries.

In her official statement, Hema Malini said,

“It is very disheartening to see false and exaggerated news being circulated about Dharam Ji’s health. I urge everyone to respect our privacy. He is fine and under proper care at home.”

Rumors about Dharmendra’s deteriorating health began circulating on Sunday night, with several unverified reports suggesting hospitalization and even claims of a “critical condition.” These reports quickly went viral, prompting a wave of concern among fans and the film fraternity.

Family Clarification
Sources close to the Deol family confirmed that Dharmendra, 88, is “absolutely stable” and that the circulating news is “baseless.” His sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, have also requested the media to refrain from speculative reporting. A family spokesperson said,

“Dharam Ji is doing well. He has regular medical checkups, which is natural at his age. There is no cause for alarm.”

Hema Malini’s Appeal to the Media
Hema Malini, visibly upset by the false reports, emphasized the need for responsible journalism. She urged media outlets to verify facts before publishing or broadcasting health-related updates, especially about senior citizens.

“The media should show sensitivity and not create panic among fans. Dharmendra Ji deserves respect for all that he has contributed to Indian cinema over the decades,” she said.

Fans Express Relief
Following her clarification, fans of the veteran actor flooded social media with messages of relief and support. Many expressed their admiration for the couple and requested media houses to uphold ethical reporting standards.

About Dharmendra
Often hailed as the “He-Man of Bollywood,” Dharmendra has had a glorious film career spanning over six decades, featuring in classics like Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Satyakam, and Yaadon Ki Baaraat. He continues to make occasional appearances in films and public events, maintaining a close bond with his fans.

Conclusion
This incident once again brings to light the issue of media responsibility and privacy, particularly concerning the personal lives of public figures. Hema Malini’s statement serves as a reminder that even celebrities deserve respect and space, especially when it involves matters of health and family.
