Special Health Drive to Focus on Women’s Physical and Mental Wellbeing under Chhattisgarh Silver Jubilee Celebrations

As part of the Chhattisgarh Silver Jubilee celebrations, the district administration will launch the “Healthy Women, Empowered Families” campaign from September 17 to October 2, 2025. The initiative aims to provide comprehensive health check-ups for women of all age groups, with a special focus on raising awareness about physical and mental health, thereby strengthening both families and society.
Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure has directed officials to ensure quality health services and proper arrangements for the successful implementation of the campaign. Women will undergo screenings for anemia, hemoglobin levels, blood pressure, diabetes, cervical cancer, sickle cell disease, and other health-related issues. Counseling on family planning and preventive care will also be provided.

Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Netram Navratan chaired a meeting with health officials to review preparations. The campaign will be carried out with the support of family welfare officers, immunization officers, block medical officers, supervisors, Mitanin nodal officers, coordinators, and volunteers. Active participation of local representatives, women’s self-help groups, Anganwadi workers, students, and adolescent girls will further strengthen the initiative.
