One-day camp by Community Health Center Chhuria provides free medical tests and vaccinations for truck drivers and transport staff

As part of the Silver Jubilee Celebration 2025, a one-day health check-up camp was organized at the Patekohra Transport Check Post under the Chhuria development block. The camp was conducted by the Community Health Center (CHC), Chhuria, with the active participation of Block Medical Officer Dr. Omesh Bhagat, the BETO, and a dedicated team of health officials.
The initiative aimed to promote health awareness and provide timely medical support to truck drivers and check post staff who often face health challenges due to long working hours and irregular lifestyles.

A large number of beneficiaries availed of free medical services, including hemoglobin testing, sickle cell screening, HIV testing, tuberculosis screening, hepatitis-B screening, and hepatitis-B vaccination. The medical team also offered participants essential health counseling and information on disease prevention and lifestyle management.
Officials present at the event emphasized that such outreach health camps play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of people working in the transport sector. They highlighted that early diagnosis and preventive care significantly reduce the risk of serious illnesses.

The joint efforts of the Health Department, RTO officials, and check post staff were widely appreciated for ensuring the smooth and successful organization of the camp.
