Collector Tulika Prajapati directs petrol pump operators and LPG distributors to ensure fair pricing and uninterrupted supply amid global conflict concerns

Amid rising global uncertainties due to the ongoing conflict situation in West and Central Asia, the district administration in Mohla has taken proactive measures to ensure uninterrupted availability of petrol, diesel, and LPG cylinders for consumers.
Acting on instructions from the state government, Collector Tulika Prajapati convened a review meeting with petrol pump operators and LPG gas distributors and issued strict directions to maintain adequate fuel supply while preventing hoarding and black marketing.
The Collector instructed all fuel outlets to sell petroleum products strictly at government-approved rates and warned against any artificial shortage or unauthorized stockpiling. She emphasized that under no circumstances should petrol, diesel, or LPG cylinders be stored unnecessarily to manipulate supply or prices.
The administration also cautioned that the misuse of domestic LPG cylinders for commercial purposes would invite stringent legal action. Any instance of black marketing, hoarding, overpricing, or irregular distribution will lead to strict action against concerned petrol pumps or gas agencies.
According to the Food Department, LPG cylinder distribution in the district remains stable. Consumers in urban areas are currently eligible to receive a second LPG cylinder after an interval of 25 days, while in rural areas the interval stands at 45 days. Gas agencies have been directed to display this information prominently on notice boards to ensure transparency and consumer awareness.

Officials clarified that petrol, diesel, and LPG supplies in the district are normal and sufficient to meet public demand. The Collector appealed to citizens not to pay attention to rumors regarding fuel shortages and to rely only on official information channels.
Consumers facing issues such as supply delays, overcharging, or any irregularities in fuel or LPG distribution have been encouraged to lodge complaints through the State Helpline Number 18002333663 or the District Helpline Number 07747299613 for immediate redressal.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to maintaining supply stability, ensuring fair trade practices, and protecting consumer interests during the prevailing global situation.
