Welcoming the Union Government’s decision to reduce excise duty on petrol and diesel amid challenging global economic conditions, District BJP President Komal Singh Rajput described the move as a historic and pro-people step aimed at providing relief to citizens facing rising inflationary pressures.
Reacting to the decision, Rajput said that at a time when economies across the world are struggling with inflation, supply disruptions, and geopolitical uncertainties, the Government of India has prioritized the welfare of its citizens by taking a bold and timely decision.

Relief Expected for Common Citizens
According to the BJP leader, the reduction in excise duty will directly ease the financial burden on the public by lowering fuel prices. He noted that reduced fuel costs are expected to bring down transportation expenses, which in turn may help stabilize prices of essential commodities and strengthen overall economic activity.
Rajput emphasized that the decision reflects the government’s sensitivity toward public concerns and its commitment to minimizing the impact of global economic volatility on domestic consumers.
Message of Economic Resilience
Highlighting India’s economic approach, he stated that the move sends a strong message internationally that India remains confident and resilient even under adverse global circumstances. He added that the country has consistently demonstrated its ability to convert challenges into opportunities under the leadership of Narendra Modi.

“The decision shows that India is not intimidated by global crises but continues to move forward with confidence and determination,” Rajput said, adding that policy interventions focused on public welfare reinforce trust among citizens.
Strengthening Public Confidence
The district BJP president further remarked that the Centre’s initiative reflects responsiveness toward public needs and reinforces India’s image as a decisive and strong nation on the global stage. He expressed confidence that the measure would boost public morale and contribute positively to economic momentum.
Political observers note that fuel price adjustments remain a key policy tool used by governments to manage inflationary trends and support economic stability during periods of international uncertainty.
