Further, she stressed the need to prioritize small rain-fed agriculture and ensure the successful implementation of agricultural schemes aimed at improving water availability for farmers. The discussion included the need for region-specific communication to reach farmers in their local languages and ensure they benefit from government schemes.
The Water Resources Department was directed to complete the repairs of canals, drains, and water reservoir gates to maximize rainwater conservation. Regarding road construction, relevant department heads were instructed to prioritize and send proposals accordingly.
In line with national priorities, all members unanimously supported the “One Nation, One Election” proposal. A detailed discussion on increasing tree plantation by the Forest Department was also held.
The session concluded with an appeal to focus on water conservation, with Mrs. Vaishnav thanking all members and officials for their participation.
