District Collector Jitendra Yadav emphasized that the implementation of government schemes must reflect tangible results at the grassroots level. Chairing the weekly time-limit meeting at the Collectorate conference hall, he directed officials to ensure effective and coordinated execution of flagship programs like Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.

The Collector underscored the need for teamwork among all departments, stating, “Government schemes should not remain confined to files—they must create visible change in the lives of citizens.” He instructed that under the Surya Ghar Yojana, more beneficiaries should be encouraged to apply to maximize coverage and awareness.

Discussing preparations for the paddy procurement season starting November 15 under the Krishak Unnati Yojana, Yadav directed departments including Food, Cooperative Banks, Marketing, and Agriculture to work in close coordination. Committees with irregularities during previous procurement sessions will face strict action, he warned. He also stressed the importance of staff training and resolving registration issues faced by farmers due to technical glitches.

Yadav announced that the Statehood Day celebrations will be held on November 2, 3, and 4 at the State High School grounds. Departmental stalls will showcase various government welfare schemes. He assigned responsibilities to officers for ensuring water supply, cleanliness, and other arrangements during the event.

In the education sector, the Collector called for regular attendance of teachers and students, monthly testing, and focused preparation for board examinations. Reviewing the health sector, he directed special attention toward high-risk pregnant women, aiming to reduce maternal mortality through inter-departmental coordination. He stated that officials including SDMs, the CEO of Zila Panchayat, and he himself would directly interact with high-risk cases to assess healthcare facilities.

Emphasizing administrative discipline, Yadav instructed all officers to maintain punctuality and accountability. Urban projects under Amrit Mission, Sewerage Scheme, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) were reviewed. Completed housing units are to be allotted to beneficiaries immediately, with weekly reviews of progress.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, the district has received a target of 5,600 beneficiaries. The Food Department was instructed to expedite applications and provide LPG connections promptly. Yadav also directed that severely malnourished children be admitted to Nutrition Rehabilitation Centers to ensure recovery.

Zila Panchayat CEO Suruhi Singh highlighted the importance of promoting crop diversification during the Rabi season, encouraging farmers to cultivate maize, lentils, and other alternatives. She also called for maximizing benefits under the Aadi Karmyogi Yojana.

Senior officers including Additional Collectors C.L. Markandey and Prem Prakash Sharma, Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, and SDMs from Rajnandgaon and Dongargaon were present at the meeting.
