Speed up paddy lifting, complete approved projects on priority; Aadhaar update camps for children to be organized across schools

Jitendra Yadav chaired the weekly time-limit review meeting at the district collectorate on Tuesday and directed officials to prioritize development works included in the current budget by preparing and submitting estimates at the earliest.
The meeting, held in the collectorate conference hall, focused on reviewing the progress of development projects and administrative priorities across departments. The Collector instructed officials to expedite the preparation of estimates for projects included in this year’s budget so that the benefits of these initiatives can reach the public without delay.
He also sought detailed information regarding works that were approved in the previous year’s budget and instructed departments to ensure that all sanctioned and under-construction projects are completed on priority.
During the review, the Collector directed all Sub-Divisional Officers and Tehsildars to re-verify the Girdawari survey reports prepared by surveyors and submit updated reports within the stipulated timeframe. Taking note of encroachments on government land in certain areas, he instructed officials to remove such encroachments so that the land can be used for public development projects.
The Collector also directed department heads to review cases related to their departments currently pending in the High Court and ensure that replies are submitted within the stipulated timeline.

Aadhaar Update Camps for Children
Emphasizing the importance of identity documentation, the Collector instructed officials to ensure Aadhaar updation for all Anganwadi and school children. He directed authorities to fix specific dates and organize Aadhaar updation camps in schools so that all remaining children can be covered and achieve 100 percent Aadhaar enrolment and updation.
He also instructed the health department to increase the rate of institutional deliveries in the district and issued necessary directions aimed at reducing maternal and child mortality rates.
Special attention was also given to the welfare of students residing in hostels. The Collector directed officials to conduct regular inspections and closely monitor the health of hostel residents. He also instructed that lists of nearby hospitals should be displayed in hostels to ensure quick access to medical facilities. Additionally, officials were told to ensure timely disbursement of scholarships to eligible students.
Directions on Paddy Procurement and Transport Monitoring
The Collector set targets for accelerating the lifting of paddy from procurement centres and instructed officials to speed up the process. He also directed authorities to assign clear targets to rice millers to ensure smooth movement and processing of procured paddy.
The transport department was instructed to intensify inspections and set up checkpoints to take strict action against vehicles involved in illegal transportation.
In addition, strict directions were issued to immediately prohibit the sale and storage of banned liquor in the district.
The meeting was attended by Suruchi Singh, Additional Collector CL Markandey, Additional Collector Prem Prakash Sharma, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, SDM Dongargarh M Bhargav, SDM Dongargaon Shrikant Koram and other district officials.
