Jitendra Yadav distributed first aid kits to district-level officers during the weekly time-limit review meeting held at the Collectorate on Tuesday. The initiative aims to ensure immediate medical assistance during emergencies, minor injuries, or health issues that may arise during official work or field visits.
The distribution took place in the presence of senior district officials, highlighting the administration’s focus on improving workplace health preparedness and safety measures within government departments.
The first aid kits contain essential medical supplies required for basic emergency treatment. Items included in the kits are antiseptic solutions, adhesive tape, disinfectant wipes, antibiotic ointment, pain relief medicines, band-aids, and bandages. These supplies are intended to provide immediate primary care in case of minor injuries or sudden health concerns before professional medical help becomes available.
According to Dr. NR Navratna, the initiative is an important step toward strengthening public health preparedness and promoting health safety within the government system. He noted that the availability of basic first aid can often prove lifesaving in critical situations and can prevent minor injuries from becoming more serious.

Officials said the move will also help officers respond quickly in case of emergencies during official tours, inspections, or administrative duties in remote or field locations where immediate medical facilities may not always be accessible.
The programme was attended by Suruchi Singh, Additional Collector CL Markandey, Additional Collector Prem Prakash Sharma, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, SDM Dongargarh M Bhargav, SDM Dongargaon Shrikant Koram and other district officials.
District authorities stated that such initiatives help build a more responsive and prepared administrative system while ensuring the safety and well-being of officers engaged in public service.
