‘Potth Laika Pahal’ campaign held every Thursday spreads awareness on nutrition among parents, pregnant women and adolescent girls

In recognition of their dedicated efforts in addressing malnutrition and ensuring effective functioning of Anganwadi centres, Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav felicitated several Anganwadi workers with certificates of appreciation.
The Collector honoured Phuleshwari Sahu, Anganwadi worker from Khaprikala centre, Pushpa Sahu from Gathula centre, and Umeshwar Sahu from Dumahatola centre for their active contribution toward improving child nutrition and health awareness in their respective areas.

Speaking on the occasion, Collector Yadav said that Anganwadi workers play a crucial role in building a malnutrition-free society. He appreciated the efforts being made by the workers to ensure better health and nutrition for children, mothers and pregnant women.
He stated that regular activities conducted at Anganwadi centres and continuous awareness about nutrition are making a significant contribution in reducing malnutrition in the district.
During the interaction, the Collector also discussed the ongoing initiatives and activities with the Anganwadi workers. They informed him that under the ‘Potth Laika Pahal’ campaign, a Palak Chaupal is organized every Thursday at Anganwadi centres.
During these sessions, parents, pregnant women and adolescent girls are provided with information about nutritious food, health care and proper nutrition practices. The campaign has helped increase awareness among families and is showing positive results in the fight against malnutrition.

Collector Yadav encouraged the workers to continue their efforts with the same dedication and commitment. He said the administration will continue to support initiatives that strengthen maternal and child health services in rural areas.
The felicitation ceremony was also attended by Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Suruchi Singh, Additional Collector Prem Prakash Sharma, and officials and staff from the concerned departments.
