Collector Directs Nodal Officers to Ensure Transparent and Smooth Paddy Procurement for Kharif 2025-26

All Essential Facilities to Be Ensured at Procurement Centers; Token System to Prioritize Small and Marginal Farmers

Collector Shri Jitendra Yadav chaired a review meeting today in the Collectorate auditorium regarding preparations for paddy procurement under the Kharif marketing season 2025-26. Addressing the nodal officers appointed for various paddy procurement centers, the Collector emphasized that paddy procurement is an important state-level scheme aimed at supporting farmers directly. The procurement process will begin from 15 November.

He instructed the officers to discharge their responsibilities with full transparency and ensure that procurement centers are well-prepared before the commencement of the season. The Collector stressed that farmers’ actual produce must be procured without any discrepancies and that every necessary facility should be available at the procurement centers.

The arrangements to be ensured include weighing machines, standard weights, gunny bags, computers, printers, moisture meters, CCTV surveillance, drinking water, shade, biometric devices, manpower, and health kits. He further directed that physical verification of preparations should be done through the PV app and that paddy be stacked and managed variety-wise.

Shri Yadav announced that priority tokens will be issued to small and marginal farmers. Farmers can obtain digital tokens themselves from Kisan Token “Tumhar Haath” mobile app between 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM daily. He also instructed that weekly physical verification of paddy stock and gunny bags must be carried out cautiously, and sufficient gunny bags must be ensured at all centers.

Additionally, all district check posts will begin monitoring from 1 November. The Collector stressed that no farmer should face inconvenience, and timely payment must be made directly to their bank accounts.

The meeting was attended by District Food Officer Shri Ravindra Soni, General Manager of District Central Cooperative Bank Shri Sudhir Soni, and all appointed nodal officers.
