Officials Directed to Conduct Weekly Yoga Camps at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Strengthen TB Elimination, Vaccination, and Filariasis Campaign Implementation

Dr. Netaram Navratan, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) of Rajnandgaon, conducted a comprehensive virtual review meeting with health department officials to assess the progress of various national health programmes across the district. The meeting was attended by Block Medical Officers, BPMs, BETOs, Block Data Managers, Junior Secretariat Assistants, and district consultants associated with national health initiatives.
During the review, the CMHO emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare and community awareness. He instructed officials to organize weekly yoga sessions every Wednesday at all Ayushman Arogya Mandirs to promote healthy lifestyles and preventive wellness among citizens. Special focus was placed on maternal and child health services, with directives issued to ensure daily telephonic monitoring of high-risk pregnant women, timely availability of essential medicines, and facilitation of free sonography services.

Dr. Navratan also stressed the need to increase institutional deliveries across the district to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality risks. Officials were directed to intensify field-level coordination and awareness campaigns to encourage expectant mothers to opt for hospital-based deliveries.
The meeting further reviewed the implementation of the Filariasis Elimination Programme, particularly the Mass Drug Administration (MDA) campaign, along with Aadhaar-based attendance compliance, creation of ABHA health IDs, tuberculosis elimination efforts, immunization coverage, and other ongoing national health programmes.
The CMHO called for improved data reporting accuracy, regular monitoring, and stronger coordination between field staff and district teams to achieve programme targets effectively. He reiterated that consistent efforts at the grassroots level are essential for achieving national health goals and improving overall public health indicators in the district.
