The helpline, which became operational today, allows residents to dial the toll-free number 1076 and register their problems directly. It integrates multiple channels including phone calls, WhatsApp, mobile app, web portal, and written applications, making it accessible to all sections of society. The initiative reflects the state government’s commitment to “Su-shasan” (good governance) by putting citizens at the center of administrative processes.

How the System Works
Citizens can register complaints through multiple modes:
- Call 1076 (Toll-Free) – 24×7 availability.
- Mobile App – “CG CM Helpline Citizens” available on Google Play Store for easy registration and real-time tracking.
- Web Portal – cmhelpline.cg.gov.in
- WhatsApp and other digital channels.
Upon registration, every complainant receives a unique reference/token number instantly. They can track the status of their complaint in real-time through the app, portal, or by calling back. The system operates on a Service Level Agreement (SLA) framework with strict timelines – many complaints are targeted to be resolved within 7 days.
Senior officers at the Chief Minister’s Office will personally monitor high-priority and pending cases. This top-level oversight ensures accountability at every level of administration.
Vision Behind the Initiative
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has emphasized that this helpline is a direct link between the government and the people. “Our government is committed to responsive and transparent administration. Through CM Helpline 1076, every citizen’s voice will reach the corridors of power without any intermediary,” he stated while launching the project. The helpline is expected to significantly reduce corruption, delay, and harassment that citizens often face while dealing with government departments. By digitizing the grievance process and introducing continuous monitoring, the state aims to set new benchmarks in public service delivery.
Expected Impact on Chhattisgarh
With over 3 crore population spread across urban and rural areas, Chhattisgarh faces diverse challenges ranging from infrastructure, health, education, agriculture, to PDS and welfare schemes. The new helpline will help address these issues more efficiently. Early estimates suggest thousands of complaints will be registered in the initial days itself as awareness spreads.
The accompanying mobile app is particularly user-friendly, supporting both Hindi and English languages. Citizens can upload documents, photos, or evidence while filing complaints, making the process more robust and evidence-based.Training programs for thousands of officers and staff have already been completed across all districts to ensure smooth implementation from day one. Nodal officers have been appointed in every department for faster coordination.
