The GoFloRun 2025, a women-centric fitness marathon, lit up Mumbai on Sunday with an energetic turnout of celebrities, athletes, and social activists advocating for menstrual health awareness and holistic well-being. Actors Neha Dhupia and Soha Ali Khan headlined the event, encouraging women to prioritize fitness without stigma or societal pressure.

Organized by GoFlo Foundation in collaboration with local wellness groups, the run saw participation from more than 3,000 women, ranging from teenagers to senior citizens. The initiative also featured panel talks, yoga sessions, and open discussions on menstrual hygiene, hormonal health, and emotional wellness, aiming to dismantle long-standing taboos surrounding periods and women’s bodies.

Speaking at the event, Neha Dhupia emphasized the importance of normalizing conversations about menstruation.
“We must talk openly about our health. No woman should feel embarrassed about something completely natural,” she said.

Soha Ali Khan echoed the sentiment, noting that fitness plays a critical role in boosting confidence and mental clarity.
“Strong bodies create strong minds. Wellness is not just physical — it’s emotional and social too,” she added.

Health experts at the run highlighted that nearly 60% of Indian women still hesitate to discuss menstrual discomfort due to cultural stigma, often preventing them from seeking timely care. The event aimed to foster a safe and supportive platform for sharing experiences, learning, and empowerment.

The marathon’s proceeds will support menstrual hygiene campaigns in rural communities across Maharashtra, including distribution of biodegradable sanitary pads and training programs on sustainable waste management.

Participants described the atmosphere as uplifting and unifying — a celebration of resilience, strength, and womanhood.
