The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated two major campaigns in Rajnandgaon under the party’s central call to make India a developed nation by 2047. The initiatives include the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan to promote self-reliance and the GST Reform Awareness Campaign to spread understanding of the government’s latest tax reforms.
According to the BJP’s media cell, a committee has been formed under the banner of Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan to encourage “Local for Vocal” by promoting indigenous products. Amar Lalwani has been appointed as convener, with Vinod Dadda, Satish Pandey, Smt. Sudha Pawar, and Rohit Makhija serving as co-conveners.

Similarly, to spread awareness among traders about the revised GST structure coming into effect from September 22, a separate committee has been constituted under the GST Reform Awareness Campaign. Alok Bindal has been appointed as convener, while Tarun Lahrwani, Kamal Kishore Sahu, and Rajesh Bafna will serve as co-conveners. The committee will be responsible for educating traders about the simplified GST mechanism and encouraging institutions to participate in the reform outreach.
District BJP President Komal Singh Rajput, along with General Secretaries Saurabh Kothari, Rajendra Golcha, and Ravindra Vaishnav, extended their best wishes to the newly appointed committee members and urged them to begin their responsibilities with full dedication.
