“BJP Heading for a Landslide Victory in Delhi, Leads Even in Muslim-Dominated Seats

BTI – The Delhi Assembly election results are unfolding as predicted, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) heading towards a two-thirds majority.

As of 10:10 AM, trends indicate that BJP is leading towards a decisive victory. Out of the total 70 seats, BJP is ahead on 40 seats, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is leading on 29 seats. The Congress, on the other hand, appears to be securing only one seat.

In a surprising development, BJP is also leading in 10 Muslim-dominated constituencies. AAP’s Tahir Hussain, who faced allegations of inciting riots, is trailing significantly, securing only 74 votes so far, while the BJP candidate is leading by 5,700 votes. The All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) has reportedly polarized Muslim votes, directly impacting AAP and benefiting BJP.

Vote share trends suggest AAP has secured around 42% of the votes, while BJP is leading with 47%.

In a closely watched contest, Kejriwal was initially trailing by 74 votes against BJP’s Pravesh Sharma but has now taken a lead of 240 votes.

If the current trends hold, BJP is set to return to power in Delhi for the first time since 1998, with projections suggesting the party may cross the 55-seat mark.
