Chhattisgarh Shines at 32nd Senior NTPC National Archery Championship with Four Medals; Sanskardhani Archery Association Congratulates Maya Baghel

Chhattisgarh’s archers delivered an outstanding performance at the 32nd Senior NTPC National Archery Championship, held in Telangana from December 10 to 20, 2025, winning a total of four medals and bringing laurels to the state. The achievement highlights the growing strength of archery talent emerging from Chhattisgarh.
Sharing the details, Chhattisgarh Archery Association official Shri Kailash Murarka said that a contingent of 36 archers, along with coaches and managers, represented the state in the prestigious national-level competition. The players showcased remarkable skill in the Indian Round category, securing medals across various events.

One of the major highlights of the championship was the girls’ team event, where the Chhattisgarh team defeated Jharkhand to claim the gold medal. The strong performances in other categories further added to the state’s medal tally, enhancing Chhattisgarh’s reputation on the national archery stage.
Among the medal winners, Rajnandgaon district’s talented archer Maya Baghel emerged as a standout performer. Representing the Sanskardhani Archery Association, District Unit Rajnandgaon, Maya Baghel won the gold medal in the senior team event, making the district and the entire state proud. She is currently undergoing advanced training at the Behtarai Archery Academy.
Congratulating the athletes, officials of the Archery Association expressed confidence that Chhattisgarh’s archers would continue their medal-winning momentum at the upcoming Junior National Archery Championship scheduled to be held in Raipur.

Maya Baghel’s remarkable achievement drew widespread appreciation and congratulations. Sanskardhani Archery Association patrons Shri Khoobchand Parakh, Shri Madhusudan Yadav, and Shri Kamal Kishore Sahu; Association President Shri Rajendra Golchha; member Shri Radheshyam Gupta; Kamla College Sports Officer Dr Neeta Nair; Chhattisgarh Hockey Association President Shri Firoz Ansari; and social worker Shri Gemu Kunjam extended their heartfelt congratulations and blessings.
Additionally, Association Secretary and coach Shri Rahul Sahu, DPS sports coach Shri Kushal Rajak, JLM Gayatri Vidya Peeth coach Ms Anjali Yadav, senior players Rahul Sahu, Bhupendra Sinha, Jatin Yadav, along with several other players and sports enthusiasts, wished Maya Baghel a bright and successful future in archery.
