Paddy procurement preparations for the Kharif Marketing Season 2025–26 have been finalised in Rajnandgaon district, bringing relief and excitement among farmers. Under the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and Krishak Unnati Yojana, procurement will begin from November 15, with paddy purchases set at ₹3,100 per quintal and a cap of 21 quintals per acre.
Under the supervision of Collector Jitendra Yadav, all procurement centres have been fully prepared, and duties of officers and staff have been assigned. To ensure efficient operations, employees from various departments have been trained to serve as procurement managers in place of cooperative committee staff wherever required. All officials have been instructed to strictly follow the guidelines for MSP-based procurement.

The District Cooperative Central Bank, Rajnandgaon, will operate 96 procurement centres across the district. As in the previous year, procurement will be conducted using biometric verification to ensure transparency. All centres have calibrated moisture meters and electronic weighing machines. New and old gunny bags have already been distributed across the centres.
A total of 1,28,410 farmers have registered for the 2025–26 procurement season. Funds for paddy security and storage expenses have been transferred to all societies for preliminary preparations. At the Arjuni procurement centre, 168 tokens have been issued for the purchase of 9,461.60 quintals of paddy.
To streamline the token system, the Government of Chhattisgarh has operationalised the “Token Tunhar Hath” mobile application. Using this app, farmers can receive tokens online for selling paddy on their chosen date at their respective centres. The app provides complete information on farmer details, land records, bank accounts, tokens, and procurement status.

Tokens are released at 8 AM daily through the app, while society operators may issue tokens manually from 9:30 AM, similar to the previous year. Tokens will be available for the next seven days of procurement, and the quantity allotted will be based on the registered paddy acreage as per DCS, girdawari, and PV records. Small and marginal farmers may receive up to 2 tokens, while large farmers can receive up to 3 tokens.
For added transparency and to prevent unauthorized token issuance, Aadhaar-based OTP authentication has been made mandatory for generating tokens. This ensures identity verification and safeguards against token misuse.
