Rajnandgaon Collector Mr. Jitendra Yadav conducted a surprise inspection at the Government Higher Secondary School, Saloni, to assess academic standards and preparations for the upcoming board examinations.
During the visit, the Collector expressed strong dissatisfaction with the school’s preparation for Class 10 board results and directed the staff to ensure a 100% pass result this academic session. He sat with Class 10 students in their English and Mathematics classes, interacting with them to personally evaluate the teaching quality and comprehension levels.
The Collector particularly noted shortcomings in the English subject’s teaching approach, indicating that the current method was not producing satisfactory learning outcomes. He also taught students a simpler approach to understanding English, encouraging them to adopt effective learning techniques.

Referring to the poor performance in last year’s Class 10 board results, Mr. Yadav instructed the school administration to conduct regular weekly and monthly tests, followed by detailed performance reviews to ensure visible improvement.
He further directed the principal to repair the non-functional projector at the earliest and utilize it actively to support teaching and learning processes within the classroom.
The Collector emphasized that improving learning outcomes and ensuring academic discipline must be the school’s top priority in the current session.
