A seven-day Career Guidance and Personality Development Workshop successfully concluded at Government Digvijay College under the leadership of Principal Prof. Suchitra Gupta. The event was organized by the college’s IQAC and Employment Guidance Cell, coordinated by Dr. Sanjay Thiske.

On the final day, Gopal Rao, General Manager of the District Industries Centre, Balod, addressed the students along with Prof. Suchitra Gupta, Dr. Sanjay Thiske, K.K. Devangan, Dr. D.K. Verma, and Chiranjeev Pandey.

Prof. Gupta highlighted that academic knowledge alone is not sufficient for success; practical skills and positive behavior are equally essential. She urged students to maintain a constructive outlook, whether in academics or in their professional careers.

Delivering the keynote address, Gopal Rao emphasized that the service sector is the largest employment provider and that many graduates lack practical skills despite holding degrees. “Big achievements require big sacrifices. If a person has ideas and solutions, they can become a successful entrepreneur,” he said. Rao also underlined the importance of customer satisfaction and advised aspiring entrepreneurs to harness the power of social media to build strong brands in a consumer-driven market like India.
