Mohla District Celebrates Excellence in Governance and Grassroots Empowerment Under the Aspirational District Program

The district administration organized the Sampurnata Abhiyan Award Ceremony at Dussehra Ground, Mohla, to recognize the exemplary contributions of officials and employees under the Aspirational District Program, held from July 28 to August 2, 2025. The event saw the felicitation of outstanding performers with certificates of appreciation.

The ceremony was graced by Mohla-Manpur MLA Indrashah Mandavi, Zila Panchayat members Narasingh Bhandari and Lakhan Kalamen, Janpad Panchayat presidents Pushpa Mandavi (Manpur) and Punoo Ram Phulkaure (Ambagarh Chowki), Mohla Sarpanch Gajendra Singh Puram, Collector Tulika Prajapati, Zila Panchayat CEO Bharti Chandrakar, SDM Mohla Hemendra Bhuary, along with local representatives and departmental officials.

Various district-level departments and self-help groups (SHGs) showcased their schemes through informative stalls. The Health Department provided free medical check-ups and distributed medicines, while the Women and Child Development Department promoted its Suposhan Abhiyan. Stalls by the Education Department displayed school schemes and educational books, and other departments like Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Banking, Post Office, Public Health Engineering, PMGSY, and Water Resources highlighted their initiatives. The stalls were inspected by dignitaries, officials, and attendees. The event was further enlivened by captivating dance performances by school students.

The ceremony recognized the exceptional efforts of officials and employees under the Aspirational District Program. Those felicitated included S.K. SHGs Empower Women Through Livelihood Activities
Women from SHGs in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki block showcased their livelihood initiatives through dedicated stalls, highlighting products like rakhis, pickles, papads, kodo rice, clothing, honey, and incense sticks. Groups such as Bitiya SHG, Maa Bamleshwari SHG, Maa Danteshwari SHG, Bhawani SHG, Maa Sharda SHG, and Ekta Producer Group demonstrated their contributions to economic empowerment.
The women emphasized that their involvement in these income-generating activities has significantly strengthened their financial independence.The event underscored the district’s commitment to development and empowerment, celebrating both institutional excellence and grassroots progress.
