Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s Life Cited as an Example of Perseverance
To motivate students, the Collector referred to the life of former President and renowned scientist Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, encouraging them to pursue their dreams despite difficult circumstances.
He explained that Dr Kalam spent his childhood amid financial hardships and continued his education while working as a newspaper distributor. Although his dream was to become a fighter pilot, he was not selected. However, he did not give up and went on to become one of India’s distinguished scientists and eventually the President of the country through hard work, dedication and determination.
The Collector urged students not to become discouraged by failure. Instead, he advised them to learn from setbacks and keep moving forward, stressing that determination and continuous effort can lead to significant achievements.
District Education Officer Explains Career Opportunities
District Education Officer Pravas Singh Baghel also addressed students during the online session and provided information about career opportunities in different sectors.
He encouraged students to recognise their abilities, remain curious, ask questions and continue acquiring new knowledge. He outlined career possibilities in mathematics, biology, defence services, railways, banking, business and self-employment, among other fields.
Baghel advised students to consider their interests, aptitude and future goals while choosing subjects. He also emphasised that the result of a single examination does not determine the ultimate success or failure of a person’s life.
