Mayor Inspects Under-Construction PMAY Housing Project at Mohara

Directs builder to complete allotted houses on priority within the stipulated timeline

Rajnandgaon Mayor Madhusudan Yadav inspected the under-construction housing project being developed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Ward No. 48, Mohara, and instructed officials and the builder to prioritize the completion of already allotted houses before taking up new construction.

The inspection was conducted in the presence of Mayor-in-Council members Sunil Sahu and Alok Shroti, technical officials, and project representatives.

232 Houses Under Construction, 90 Already Allotted

A total of 232 houses are being constructed under the PMAY Housing for All component at Mohara. Of these, 90 houses have already been allotted to eligible beneficiaries.

During the site visit, Mayor Madhusudan Yadav instructed the builder to ensure that all allotted houses are completed and made ready for possession within the prescribed timeframe before initiating additional construction work.

Speed Up Power Infrastructure

The Mayor also reviewed the ongoing installation of electrical infrastructure, including transformers.

He directed Executive Engineer and Project Nodal Officer Deepak Khande to coordinate with the Electricity Department and expedite the transformer installation so that power supply can be made available at the earliest.

He said families would be able to move into their allotted homes once electricity and other essential services are in place.

Focus on Quality Construction

Reviewing the progress in detail, the Mayor sought stage-wise updates on construction activities and instructed the builder to maintain high construction standards while accelerating the pace of work.

Green Spaces and Proper Drainage

Mayor Yadav also suggested developing landscaped gardens and carrying out tree plantation within the housing complex to create a healthy and pleasant living environment for future residents.

He further directed officials to construct a proper drainage system that can effectively manage both household wastewater and rainwater, preventing waterlogging during the monsoon season.

Assistant Nodal Officer and In-charge Assistant Engineer Sushma Sahu, along with CLTC officials associated with the project, were also present during the inspection.
