The Mahavir Janma Kalyanak Mahotsav, commemorating the birth of Lord Mahavir, began with great enthusiasm in Rajnandgaon under the aegis of Sakal Jain Shri Sangh. The five-day celebration, held from April 6 to 10, kicked off with a grand Veer Sandesh Yatra at 6:00 AM on April 6, featuring over 400 participants spreading the timeless teachings of Lord Mahavir — non-violence, truth, and compassion.

Following the Yatra, a free mega health camp was organized at Udayachal, in collaboration with MMI Narayana Raipur, Udayachal, and Sakal Jain Sangh. Over 400 individuals benefited from health check-ups conducted by a panel of specialists including Neurologist Dr. H.P. Singh, Cardiologist Dr. Snehil Goswami, Pulmonologist Dr. Dipesh Maske, Gastroenterologist Dr. Abhishek Jain, and Orthopedic Specialist Dr. Pankaj Patel, among others. Free consultations and diagnostics were offered. During the event, it was also announced that members of the Jain community would receive special concessions for treatment at MMI Narayana Hospital.

Post the medical camp, facilitators Dr. H.P. Singh, Dr. Snehil Goswami, and Mr. Aziz conducted a projector-based session on health awareness and daily wellness routines. Children from the Jain Pathshala also gave enlightening performances based on Lord Mahavir’s philosophies under the “Gyan Acharya” spiritual series.

On April 7, the second day of the Mahotsav, a cooking class led by Saif Shruti Jain—a Limca Book of Records holder from Nagpur—was held at Jain Bageecha from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, drawing participation from over 300 women.

In the evening, the cultural segment featured a soul-stirring play titled “Sthoolibhadra Ka Brahmacharya”, presented by Ankit Ji Bagrecha and team from Baroda, which captivated the audience. Children from Gyanvallabh Pathshala also performed and several distinguished members of the Jain community were felicitated for their contributions.

The event is being coordinated under the guidance of key organizers including Manoj Baid (Patron), Ajay Singhi (Convenor), Lalit Bhansali (Co-convenor), Vijay Kankaria (Vice President), Lalit Chordia (Secretary), Rajendra Bafna (Treasurer), Rahul Jain (Minister), and active members Prateek Chopra and Ritesh Lodha.
