Ownership Rights Turning Dreams into Reality
Rajnandgaon: The Government of India’s ambitious SVAMITVA Scheme is proving to be nothing short of a blessing for rural India. Families who lived for years on their land without legal ownership proof are now proudly holding property rights documents, experiencing a renewed sense of confidence and dignity.
By reaching villages and ensuring legal ownership rights for residents, the initiative has evolved beyond a government scheme into a transformative movement bringing security, respect and trust into the lives of rural citizens.
Sushasan Tihar Connecting Governance with People
In Chhattisgarh, welfare schemes are directly reaching citizens through Sushasan Tihar 2026. As a result, the initiative is no longer merely an administrative programme but is gradually becoming an emotional public festival closely connected to people’s lives.
Under the SVAMITVA Scheme, receiving legal ownership of residential land has become a memorable and life-changing experience for villagers. Families that spent years living under uncertainty are now celebrating the assurance and stability that comes with official ownership recognition.

Distribution of Ownership Documents in Salhe Village
During a public grievance redressal camp organized in Salhe village under Chhuriya development block of Rajnandgaon district, beneficiaries from Tehsil Kumarda area were distributed property ownership documents under the SVAMITVA Scheme.
Mrs. Kasturi Bai, a resident of village Uchaipur, became emotional after receiving her ownership document. She said that her family had lived on the land for years without proper documentation, which constantly caused anxiety and uncertainty. With the issuance of the ownership certificate by the government, her family now feels secure and stable.
She added that the document will enable her to access bank loans in the future to meet family needs and expressed gratitude towards the government and district administration.
Villagers Express Gratitude After Receiving Ownership Rights
Similarly, Shri Roopchand, another resident of Uchaipur village, also received ownership rights under the scheme. He stated that the scheme is highly beneficial for rural citizens as it grants legal ownership of property to poor and middle-class families.
He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and the district administration for implementing the initiative.
Progress in Tehsil Kumarda Area
It is noteworthy that ownership documents have so far been distributed to 58 citizens in the Tehsil Kumarda region. The initiative is providing legal ownership of residential land to villagers, reducing land disputes and strengthening the economic condition of rural families.

As per Government of India guidelines, the Revenue Department carried out identification of residential land in villages. Subsequently, the Survey of India conducted drone surveys to prepare land maps.
After completion of the claim and objection process, final maps were prepared and SVAMITVA ownership certificates were issued. The comprehensive process has ensured legal documentation of property ownership, enabling rural residents to experience confidence, dignity and rightful ownership.
Governance Reaching Every Household
Through Sushasan Tihar, it has become evident that governance is no longer limited to policy formulation but is actively reaching every household to deliver rights and benefits directly to citizens.
