Dr. Raman Singh stated that the addition of new Sanjeevani Express ambulances would provide renewed momentum and efficiency to healthcare facilities in the district.

He said the initiative would prove to be a milestone in strengthening and advancing healthcare services not only in Rajnandgaon district but across the entire state.
Progress Toward Peace and Development
Addressing the gathering, the Assembly Speaker noted that Chhattisgarh is moving toward lasting peace and development after emerging from the challenges of Naxalism.
He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, and Home Minister Vijay Sharma for their historic contribution in addressing the Naxal issue.
Distribution and Features of New Ambulances
Dr. Singh informed that among the 10 newly flagged-off ambulances:

Along with three additional sanctioned vehicles, a total of 13 ambulances will now serve the district.
Deployment includes:
- 4 ambulances for the District Hospital
- 5 for Community Health Centres
- 1 for a Primary Health Centre
The new ambulances are equipped with location-based services and mobile data terminal systems, enabling real-time monitoring of ambulance location, response time, and patient access.

ALS ambulances are fitted with essential life-saving equipment such as BP monitors, pulse oximeters, glucometers, nebulizers, oxygen supply systems, and other emergency medical devices.
Faster Emergency Response System
Under the 108 Sanjeevani Express service, response time has been fixed at:
- 15 minutes in urban areas
- 30 minutes in rural areas
This system ensures timely medical assistance in road accidents, emergency deliveries, caesarean cases, and other critical medical situations.
Service Saving Thousands of Lives
Dr. Raman Singh highlighted that the 108 Sanjeevani Express scheme was launched in 2011. Since then, the service has provided timely treatment to 1,26,990 people in the district.
Last year alone, 8,463 women benefited from the ambulance service. He stated that the life-saving service, which has already saved thousands of lives, will now operate in an even more capable and advanced form.
